DNI is the radiation coming directly from the sun's beams and does not include diffused radiation that would occur on a cloudy day. The map below illustrates ideal regions with darker oranges and reds. High DNI areas include: Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, South America, Spain, Portugal, Southern Italy, Northern Africa, Australia, and the Middle East.
